Disneyland Paris Flowers

I've made flowers from books and Disneyland maps.  Since I started crafting more frequently with paper I've been collecting it from every place I go.  Now to put some of them to use.
I guess one of my biggest souvenirs I acquired along my European trip were Disneyland Paris maps.  I grabbed about 20 of them while I was in the park to bring home.  Let me tell you that all that all those paper maps ended up pretty heavy coming back home.
The map itself it really quite colorful.  Compared to the US parks maps it has a lot more color.  And it's a two in one map, both parks are on one sheet.
And now for the finished product.  These are my favorite flowers that I've made so far.  The colors are fantastic and vary so much on each flower.
I wrapped the stems first with floral tape.  It give them a much more substantial look and feel.  Then I gathered all the stems together and wrapped them with ribbon.  To secure the ribbon I used fabric straight pins.

What's not to like on how they came out.
One map created this entire bouquet of 12 flowers.
Now to find them a proper place in the house.
And to figure out what to do with the 19 other maps I acquired.

Disneyland Map Rose

I made all of those roses for Christmas presents but I didn't make any for myself!  What was I thinking?!  It is better to give than receive I suppose.  But can I receive a gift that I gave myself.  Why not.
And I just go back from another trip to Disneyland.  I feel a change in living soon.
I wanted to make mine a bit different than the rest.  I made my bouquet from only the map part of the map.  Does that make sense.  No descriptions, directions, or advertisements.
 Only the map.
What can you see?  Looks like the Jungle Cruise and Autopia to me.
I always wrap each stem with floral tape.  Gives it a fuller feel than just the wire.  When all of them are wrapped I put them together with another layer of floral tape.
And to finish them off I wrap them with some ribbon.  I secure the ribbon with a some straight pins.
And is that Walt I spy?
It's very different than any of the other bouquets I've made.
I think that I might like them mixed in with the entire map.  I know I can always make more!
And I'm actually in Disneyland today so I can always pick up more!

Christmas Presents for all

So over my many different vacations of late I've been collecting a lot of paper.  Maps, guides, pamphlets etc...  I decided to finally put them to good use.  Christmas Presents for everyone!
These were made from Disneyland Maps.
Each bouquet has 8 flowers with 3 different flower sizes. Each one took about 3 hours to make or so.  I made 5 bouquets all at the same time to it is hard to say how much time it took to make them individually.
They are wrapped and ready to go!
I love being ready for Christmas.  I hope that everyone likes their holiday gifts.  I always love making things for others for the holidays, but really anytime is good too!
